Celebrating Excellence: ANZSRS Life Membership and Awards 2026

 

It is a wonderful time to celebrate our colleagues who are shaping the future of respiratory science!

Danny Brazzale has been awarded life membership of the ANZSRS (Australian & NZ Society or Respiratory Scientists) at this year's TSANZSRS ASM meeting in Perth. We are absolutely thrilled to extend huge congratulations to him. This rare honor is a testament to Danny's outstanding and sustained contributions to ANZSRS.

We also want to celebrate other incredible awardees from the recent meeting:


Emma Smith: Awarded Best Oral Presentation for her impressive work on Global Lung Function Initiative equations.


Tracy Leong: Awarded the Lung Foundation Australia Deep Manchanda Strategic Partnership Grant to advance early lung cancer detection via the TRACKER biobank.


Christopher Worsnop: Received the coveted TSANZ Education and Training Medal, recognising his significant impact on respiratory health education across Australia and New Zealand.
