Jennifer Cori has won the prestigious New Investigator Award at Austin Research Week.
Awarded by the Austin Medical Research Foundation (AMRF), Jennifer won the award after having her presentation judged by a 'panel of hidden professors' amongst the audience.
Jennifer is a PhD Candidate at the University of Melbourne, supervised by Dr Amy Jordan and Professor John Trinder.
Her research is part of IBAS' endeavour to better understand the condition of sleep apnoea.
Her presentation was titled The effect of arousal and subsequent hypocapnia on genioglossus muscle activity in obstructive sleep apnea.
