  • Congratulations to Dr Anne Holland and the all-IBAS Telerehab project team, for winning the best poster in the Community Management of COPD at the TSANZ conference: Anne Holland, Catherine Hill, Peter Rochford, Julio Fiore, David Berlowitz and Christine McDonald. Telerehabilitation at home is safe and feasible for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

 

  • Congratulations to Dr Mark Howard who was co-author for a presentation (at the Sleep conference, held in Baltimore USA recently) that received a meritorious award from the Sleep Research Society.  This presentation is connected to the Shiftwork On Road project that received an IBAS Research Grant awarded for 2011.

 

  • Congrats to Prof Christine McDonald whose co-authored paper was recently announced as the most-cited in the journal for 2011: Currow DC, McDonald C, Oaten S, Kenny B, Allcroft P, Frith P, Briffa M, Johnson MJ and Abernethy AP (2011) Once-Daily Opioids for Chronic Dyspnea: A Dose Increment and Pharmacovigilance Study. Journal of Pain and Symptom Management 42(3): 388-399.

 

  • Belated congratulations to Prof Christine McDonald and Mr Gary Nolan for a paper they co-authored that won the Best Paper prize at the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine conference, held in late 2012. The presenter was Professor David Taylor (Austin Health's Director of Emergency Research).
