The Institute for Breathing and Sleep (IBAS) has received two research grants from the Austin Medical Research Foundation (AMRF) for 2025. Congratulations to Dr Charissa Zaga and Dr Catherine Hill from the Institute for Breathing and Sleep (IBAS).

Congratulations to Dr Charissa Zaga, from Speech Pathology & Institute for Breathing and Sleep, who has been awarded $20,000 for her project titled "Validation of the Communication with an Artificial Airway Tool (CAT)". This funding will support Dr Zaga's research to enhance communication methods for patients with artificial airways.

Congratulations to Dr Catherine Hill, from Physiotherapy and Institute for Breathing and Sleep, who has been awarded $20,000 for her project titled "Respiratory Training After Pulmonary Rehabilitation". This funding will support Dr Hill's research aimed at improving respiratory training methods for patients following pulmonary rehabilitation.

The AMRF is proud to support such vital and essential research, which holds the promise of enhancing patient care and outcomes. Well done, Dr Zaga and Dr Hill!
